I, for one, welcome our AI overlords.
But I’d still like a human in the room when the contract gets complicated.
AI can replace the work.
The hard part is knowing what work actually matters.
400 billion tokens later, I’m still keeping my judgment.
Two clauses. A lot of money at stake.
Indemnity decides who bears certain losses when things go wrong.
A damages cap decides how much liability a party may have to pay.
They sound simple, until you’re negotiating a contract and realise that one clause can shift risk while the other...
The legal AI race is getting serious.
But the most interesting number on this leaderboard isn't who came first.
It's this: the best-performing models still fail more than half of the contract workflows.
Even the best AI models pass only about half of real contract workflow tasks....
Not everything has to be figured out at once.
Some chapters are about building.
Some are about becoming.
I’m somewhere in between.
Same mind. New goals. Better perspective.
I used to think progress had to look impressive.
Bigger goals. More work. More clients. More achievements.
Then you realise some of the most important progress happens when nobody is watching.
Getting comfortable with uncertainty.
Learning to slow down.
Walking away from things...
