After countless debugging sessions, failed deployments, and an entire day spent fixing production issues, I’m excited to finally share that WanderLust is LIVE.
The Problem
While traveling with family, I often noticed how frustrating accommodation booking can be. Most people either visit hotels physically or send someone ahead just to check whether the place is worth staying in.
There’s very little transparency, and booking often feels uncertain.
That inspired me to build WanderLust — an Airbnb-inspired platform designed to make the process simpler, transparent, and accessible from anywhere.
What WanderLust Offers
Property owners can create and manage listings with images, pricing, and descriptions
Travelers can browse accommodations remotely without physical visits
Users can read authentic reviews from previous guests before making decisions
Secure authentication, booking flow, and review management
Only verified owners can edit their own listings
The goal was simple: reduce the hassle of finding a place to stay and create a smoother experience for both travelers and property owners.
The Journey
Building the project was challenging, but deploying it was an even bigger learning experience.
I deployed the application more than 30 times before finally getting everything stable on Railway. Along the way, I dealt with:
Case-sensitivity deployment crashes
Serverless issues
npm dependency conflicts
Git rename problems
Production bugs that never appeared locally
Those struggles taught me something important:
Tutorials teach you how to build features.
Production teaches you how to solve problems.

Building something real during my internship at Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization Mehran UET Jamshoro (https://www.linkedin.com/company/oric-muet/) and I'm excited to finally share it.
Over the past few weeks, I've been developing a full-stack Startup & Incubatee Dashboard for the Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization Mehran UET Jamshoro (https://www.linkedin.com/company/oric-muet/) at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (https://www.linkedin.com/company/muet/). This isn't a tutorial project it's a live production system being built to actually run ORIC's startup incubation pipeline, connecting students, investors, and the university on one platform.
The problem it solves: ORIC manages startup applications, investor interest, and founder communication through scattered, manual processes. This dashboard brings all of that into a single, role-based system.
What it does:
🎓 For Students: submit startup applications (idea → prototype → business model), track review status, edit pending submissions, and see investor interest as it comes in all from a personal dashboard.
💼 For Investors: browse a curated list of ORIC-approved startups, send connection requests to founders they're interested in, and manage their pipeline of pending and accepted connections.
💬 Real-time deal-room chat: once a connection request is accepted, investors and founders unlock a live chat room, built with Socket.io (http://Socket.io), where every message is authenticated and scoped to that specific connection no crossover, no unauthorized access.
Under the hood:
→ Node.js + Express for the backend, with a clean MVC architecture separating routes, controllers, models, and validation → MongoDB + Mongoose for flexible, relationship-driven data modeling across users, startups, and connection requests → JWT authentication with httpOnly cookies keeping tokens out of reach of client-side scripts → Socket.io (http://Socket.io) for real-time messaging, with the same JWT used to authenticate socket connections and enforce room-level authorization → Joi validation on every write endpoint, including role-conditional rules (e.g. investor-only fields) and strict password policies → EJS for server-rendered views across three distinct role-based interfaces
What I learned: Working on a real institutional system taught me a lot beyond just writing code thinking through authorization edge cases (who can accept a request, who can edit an application), designing state machines for approval workflows, and making real-time features secure by default rather than bolted on afterward.

Spendly- The Expense Tracker,
I always face the difficulties to write down, manage my expense, so i thought that why not creating a platform that does everything, so i created spendly, in which i implemented user auth, send mail features(so that the individual who has only the verified email could add , view, destroy and update his/her expenses), also it shows the analytics based on the different filters.

Ghouri’s Fragrance is a custom full-stack e-commerce web application engineered to showcase and sell luxury scents, gift sets, body mists, and attars. The platform features an admin management panel, real-time catalog filtering, and direct WhatsApp checkout integration for frictionless customer conversion.
Key Features & Technical Implementation
Customer Storefront: Dark-themed UI built with dynamic category filtering (Gift Sets, Body Mists, Eau de Parfum, Attar) and real-time search functionality.
Admin Dashboard & CRUD System: Secure admin portal allowing store managers to create, edit, update stock, and delete product inventory dynamically.
Authentication & Access Control: Secure user registration and login workflows.
Direct-to-WhatsApp Checkout: One-click order routing that auto-generates structured order messages directly to the merchant's WhatsApp, reducing friction for buyers in global and regional markets.
Impact & Outcomes
Delivered a lightweight e-commerce platform that eliminates payment gateway barriers while maintaining full inventory management control for the business owner.
