A vintage documentary-style edit based on real archival footage from November 27, 1983, showing the massive crowd that gathered outside a toy store for a popular doll. The situation quickly became chaotic as shoppers rushed into the store, creating a huge crowd and damaging the entrance doors.
I edited and structured the archival footage to create a compelling historical story, focusing on pacing, visual storytelling, and the atmosphere of the event while maintaining an authentic vintage-news look.
My work included:
Archival footage editing
Documentary storytelling
Historical/news-style pacing
B-roll selection and sequencing
Visual transitions and text
Color/look matching for vintage footage
Sound and music synchronization
