Pinterest is a highly visual search engine where users actively plan future purchases. Recognizing this, I designed and executed a dual-funnel marketing strategy blending organic content curation with targeted Pinterest Ads to transform BarkBox's presence into a sustainable traffic and customer acquisition engine. The Objective Expand Brand Awareness: Position BarkBox as the ultimate monthly joy for dog owners within the active Pinterest pet community. Drive Targeted Traffic: Capture high-intent search traffic on Pinterest and seamlessly funnel users to the BarkBox landing pages. Maximize Ad Spend: Optimize Promoted Pins and shopping ads to lower customer acquisition costs (CAC) and drive recurring subscription sign-ups. The Solution By treating Pinterest as a visual search engine rather than a traditional social network, I built an end-to-end campaign architecture centered around search trends, eye-catching creative, and robust analytics tracking. What I Delivered Pinterest Paid Ad Campaigns: Developed, launched, and managed targeted Promoted Pin, Video Pin, and Carousel Ad campaigns focused on seasonal themes (e.g., holiday boxes, special themes). Advanced Audience Targeting: Built custom audience segments utilizing Pinterest Tag data, lookalike audiences of current subscribers, and precise keyword/interest targeting tailored to specific dog breeds and pet care. High-Impact Creative Strategy: Designed optimized vertical Pin graphics and short-form unboxing videos that stood out in user feeds and explicitly drove high click-through rates (CTR). Keyword & Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Conducted thorough keyword research to optimize board titles, pin descriptions, and profiles for Pinterest’s native search engine algorithm. Performance Analytics & Tracking: Implemented conversion tracking via the Pinterest Tag to map the complete user journey from Pin impression to checkout completion, providing weekly ROAS data. The Impact Accelerated Reach: Boosted organic monthly impressions and profile views, establishing a continuous stream of free referral traffic. High-Converting Ad Funnel: Achieved a significant increase in the click-through rate (CTR) on Promoted Pins compared to historical account baselines. Lowered Acquisition Costs: Successfully optimized ad spend to lower the overall Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) for new subscription box sign-ups.

Email Marketing Architecture: Set up targeted customer segmentation, created an automated welcome series for new subscribers, and deployed a retention email sequence to reduce churn. Growth & Visibility Strategy: Handled foundational on-page SEO optimization and provided a comprehensive social media content strategy to drive organic traffic. The Impact 100% Automated Onboarding: Eliminated manual data entry by automatically moving purchasers from the checkout page straight into the email onboarding sequence via Make.com (http://Make.com).
