Northlight Studio — From “Can I book?” to “You’re booked.” For this challenge, I created Northlight Studio, a fictional premium photography business based in Austin, Texas. The problem was simple: the photographer was spending too much time handling the same repetitive tasks, answering availability questions, explaining packages, collecting client details, confirming sessions, chasing deposits, and managing rescheduling. So instead of designing another beautiful photography website with a basic contact form, I built a complete experience that helps turn an inquiry into a confirmed booking with far less manual effort. The website is designed to feel like a real high-end photography brand first, cinematic, visual, editorial, and portfolio-led, while the booking experience works quietly behind it. Clients can: Explore photography services Choose the session that fits them Select their preferred date and time Enter their booking details Review pricing and deposit information Secure their session Receive an instant booking confirmation I intentionally simplified the customer journey into just three main booking steps, so the process stays fast and easy without sacrificing the information the photographer needs. Behind the experience, the system is designed to reduce the kind of admin work that usually happens through DMs, emails, spreadsheets, and repeated follow-ups. One of my biggest goals with this project was to make the automation feel invisible. The customer simply experiences: Choose a session → Pick a time → Secure the booking → You’re booked. The business owner experiences fewer messages, less scheduling back-and-forth, and more time to focus on the actual photography. Built entirely with Lovable.
