Cleaned and validated a large real-world online retail dataset to create a more reliable, analysis-ready transaction set. The process included identifying and removing 5,268 duplicate records, identifying 9,251 cancelled transactions, reviewing non-positive quantity and price values, and filtering the dataset to 524,879 valid transaction records.
The project demonstrates practical Excel data-cleaning skills, including duplicate detection, filtering, data-quality checks, transaction validation, and maintaining separate raw and cleaned datasets for accuracy and traceability.
