Alpha & Omega Studios
Project Overview: Alpha & Omega Studios is a one-owner shop on Long Island doing window tint, paint protection film, vinyl wraps, and graphics on cars, boats, homes, and businesses. Gary, the owner, had spent 20 years building a reputation as a certified PPF installer, but the only proof of that online was scattered reviews and Instagram posts. The site's job was to do the trust-building a stranger needs before they'll call a stranger's shop: show the work, show the reviews, make it obvious where he covers and when he's open, and get a quote request moving before someone bounces to a competitor's tab. Approach & Process: Built as a fast, mobile-first Next.js site, since most of these searches happen on a phone standing next to the car. A few decisions came straight from how the business actually runs: Trust up front. The Google rating and review count sit in the header, not buried on an About page for a service this hands-on, social proof has to land before the scroll does. Split by service, not by page.Automotive, residential, commercial, and marine customers are looking for completely different things; tabbed categories let each one skip straight past the parts that don't apply to them. Service area as a feature, not a footnote. An embedded map plus a plain list of the counties and boroughs he covers, because "do you even come to my town" is the first question a lot of these leads have. Always-visible contact. Phone number and hours pinned in the header, Gary's appointment-only, so a lead who can't immediately see when he's reachable is a lead who leaves. Outcome & Impact: The site shipped and is live at aostudiosny.com (http://aostudiosny.com).

Esteben is the two-person
Project Overview: Esteben is the two-person Shopify studio I run with Julie. I build, she leads every project from kickoff to launch. We design and build Shopify stores for independent product brands, plus websites for local businesses, and the marketing site had one job: turn "we do good work" into a quote someone can actually act on. Pricing, typical timelines, and the exact process are all on the page before anyone has to book a call. Approach & Process: Built with Next.js, matching the direct, no-mystery positioning the studio is selling. A few things worth calling out: Pricing lives on the page, not behind a form.Three tiers: new stores ($4k–$7k), redesigns ($5k–$9k), and turning a finished Figma design into a working store ($6k–$12k) — each with its own typical timeline (3–6 weeks), so a visitor can self-qualify before reaching out. The process is the pitch.Four steps, spelled out end to end: an initial info-gathering call, a written plan and fixed quote to approve, weekly private preview reviews with written updates, then launch coordination and team training. For a studio selling "no surprises," showing the actual process does more convincing than a portfolio would. "You own the store" is a stated selling point, not a footnote, worth being explicit about since it's a real differentiator against agencies that keep clients dependent on their own accounts. A Work section backs up the pitch. It links out to client case studies (starting with "The Studio," 2025), so the pricing and process claims have something concrete standing behind them. Outcome & Impact: The site is live at esteben.com (http://esteben.com) and is the studio's front door, every inquiry routes through Julie via the fixed-quote form.

Street Lines is a
Project Overview Street Lines is a React SPA that shows customers live betting odds and lines in real time. I built it from UI mockups into a working front end, with a focus on speed, mobile use, and clean data display. Goals Keep bettors informed so they can build better slips. Make the app easy to use on a phone, make sorting and finding the right lines simple, and wire up Google Analytics so the client can see how people use the site. Approach Build: Broke the UI mockup into small reusable React components and shipped in short agile cycles. Iterate: Ran multiple rounds of polish on layout, sorting, and mobile behavior until the product matched the brief. [need this: what those iterations were specifically chasing, if you want that line sharper] Launch: Shipped a clean launch, gave two weeks of post-launch support, and left documentation for the client’s in-house team. Outcome Traffic grew to over 1,000 recurring real users a day. In post-launch surveys, 95% of users gave positive feedback. The product kept bettors on current lines throughout the day. Tools React v18+ Tailwind CSS Node.js Gallery Home Fast search box with a sport dropdown Full lines table that stays usable on mobile Autoscroll at the bottom so you can scan every game Details Clear game information Banner that changes by sport Player Props Player-specific lines by league Sortable data the user controls Short explanations of what each prop means Looking forward I like client work where the UI has to feel fast and stay honest on mobile. If that sounds like your project, let’s talk.

Players Circle is a
Project Overview: Players Circle is a dynamic platform developed to deliver real-time sports news and live scores across a wide range of sports. Utilizing a modern tech stack including React, TypeScript, Websockets, and Node.js, the application provides users with instant, up-to-the-minute updates. This project demonstrates proficiency in building high-performance, data-intensive web applications capable of handling continuous streams of live information and presenting it in a user-friendly interface. Goals & Objectives: The primary objective was to create a reliable and fast platform for delivering live sports scores and news in real time. Key technical goals included implementing efficient Websocket communication for instant data push, developing a responsive and intuitive user interface in React/TypeScript capable of displaying rapidly changing data for multiple sports simultaneously, ensuring data accuracy and low latency, and building a robust Node.js backend to handle data processing and distribution. Approach & Process: Requirements & Architecture:Defined core requirements based on the need for real-time delivery of diverse sports data (scores, news). Designed a scalable architecture leveraging Websockets for efficient communication between the Node.js backend and the React frontend. Development:Built the application using React and TypeScript for the frontend, focusing on modular components and efficient state management for live data. Developed the Node.js backend to aggregate and process sports data and manage Websocket connections for broadcasting updates. Real-time Integration:Implemented Websockets to establish persistent connections, enabling the server to push live score and news updates to connected clients instantly without the need for constant polling. Testing & Optimization:Conducted rigorous testing to ensure data accuracy, low latency, and application stability under varying load conditions. Optimized frontend rendering and backend processing to handle the high volume of real-time updates across multiple sports. Outcome & Impact: Players Circle successfully delivers real-time sports news and live scores, providing users with immediate access to critical sports information. The use of Websockets resulted in a highly responsive user experience with minimal delay in updates. The platform effectively serves as a central hub for live sports data, meeting the objective of providing timely and accurate information across a diverse range of sports.
