I built Slotta, a simple booking platform designed for solo practitioners who want to spend less time managing appointments and more time with their clients. The idea came from looking at the realities of running a small, appointment-based business. Many solo practitioners still manage bookings through texts, calls and social media messages. That means manually checking availability, arranging times, sending directions, dealing with cancellations and chasing payments — often using a personal mobile number. There can also be a more personal issue for practitioners working from home. Publishing a private address or mobile number online can leave some people feeling vulnerable, particularly women offering one-to-one services. Slotta allows the booking process to happen professionally online, while keeping personal contact details and the exact appointment location private until appropriate. I wanted to automate the whole journey from “Can I book with you?” to “You’re booked.” Customers can choose a service, see genuine availability, book and pay or leave a deposit, receive confirmation and reminders, add the appointment to their calendar, and later reschedule or cancel through their own secure link. Behind the scenes, the practitioner controls working hours, services, availability, breaks and holidays, cancellation rules, payment options and reminders from one simple dashboard which was built to be mobile first friendly as lets face it most of us work from our phones nowadays. Slotta also accounts for practical details such as allowing extra time for a new client's first appointment and blocking time directly from the calendar. I also included a women-only booking option, allowing practitioners who choose to operate this way to communicate and enforce that policy as part of the booking journey. The goal wasn't to build the biggest booking system. It was to build one that feels simple, safe and genuinely useful for a person running a business on their own — removing as much admin and unnecessary back-and-forth as possible.

A bold, high-energy event platform designed and built for Sonic Ritual Events, a promoter specialising in trance, hard house and techno events across the South. Rather than building a static promotional website, I created a complete platform the client can manage themselves through a simple to use custom backend. They can add and manage events and DJs, publish content, manage merchandise orders and keep the site updated without relying on a developer. The site includes an integrated merchandise store, event and artist management, blog functionality with built-in AI content generation, and a bespoke admin interface — all wrapped in a distinctive neon, rave-inspired visual identity. I redesigned and rebuilt the website for WOLO Foundation, a Sussex charity supporting families affected by cancer, with the aim of creating a warmer, clearer and more engaging digital presence that better reflects the impact of their work. The new site puts storytelling and the families WOLO supports at its heart, while creating clear routes for people who need help, want to donate, attend an event, volunteer or get involved. A key part of the project was connecting the website to EasyCM, the charity management platform I also designed and built. This allows the WOLO team to manage website content such as events, news and family stories through their existing admin system, with content published to the website via API. The result is more than a standalone charity website — it forms part of a connected digital ecosystem designed to make both the public experience and the charity's day-to-day management simpler. I designed and built EasyCM from the ground up — an affordable, all-in-one charity management platform created specifically for UK charities. The aim was to replace the spreadsheets, disconnected systems and multiple subscriptions many smaller charities rely on with one simple, practical workspace their whole team can use. EasyCM brings together contact and family management, donations and Gift Aid, services and support, volunteers, grants, events, fundraising, tasks, reporting and communications. Charities can switch modules on or off depending on how they work and grow. I also developed a built-in API, allowing charities to manage content such as events, news, stories and team information within EasyCM and automatically publish it to their public website. The platform includes integrations with services including GoCardless, JustGiving and Enthuse, alongside reporting and operational dashboards. EasyCM has evolved through working directly with real charities, turning their day-to-day requirements into practical features rather than building software around a generic CRM model. My role: Product concept & strategy · UX/UI design · SaaS development · Database architecture · API development · Third-party integrations · Automation · Reporting & analytics
