Advanced Shipping Architecture for Yarn Marketplace Australia
The objective of this project was to implement a highly customized shipping system tailored to the Australian market. Due to significant differences in delivery costs between metropolitan, regional, and remote areas, a standard flat-rate shipping model was impacting both profitability and conversion rates.
I designed and configured a dynamic shipping architecture using Parcelify to provide accurate, region-based shipping rates and improve the overall customer experience.
Key Contributions:
Developed a custom Parcelify configuration to dynamically display shipping options based on cart contents, product attributes, customer location, and order value.
Implemented region-specific free shipping thresholds that automatically trigger based on localized spending requirements.
Created multi-tier shipping rates for Standard, Express, and Heavy Goods deliveries with pricing adjusted according to total cart weight.
Built conditional shipping logic to hide or display delivery methods based on product and freight requirements.
Segmented Australian delivery regions using detailed postcode mapping to optimize shipping costs across metro, regional, and remote zones.
Improved shipping accuracy while helping maintain margins and reduce cart abandonment caused by inaccurate delivery pricing.
