HomelyCanvas: Building a Niche Blog from Scratch
What HomelyCanvas Taught Me🙌
I created HomelyCanvas (https://homelycanvas.org/)to answer a specific question: Can you rank for competitive home decor keywords without overwhelming readers with advice?
The answer was yes. But only if you obsess over three things:
🔥 what your audience actually searches for,
🔥 how your site is organized, and
🔥 whether readers can find what they need without getting lost.
Most content sites fail at one of these. HomelyCanvas doesn't.
How I Built It: 🧠
-> Content: I researched real search queries, wrote long-form articles that answered them directly, and edited ruthlessly to remove fluff.
-> Site Structure: I organized internal links and navigation, so readers move through the site naturally, with no confusion or dead ends.
-> WordPress: I set up plugins, redesigned sections, and maintained the site to keep it fast and functional.
