This project demonstrates the design of an industrial sheet metal electrical enclosure used for housing control panel components and electrical equipment. The enclosure was designed with a focus on manufacturability, structural rigidity, and ease of assembly.
The design was created using SolidWorks sheet metal tools. Proper sheet metal parameters such as bend radius, bend allowance, and corner reliefs were applied to ensure the design is suitable for laser cutting and bending processes.
The enclosure includes removable side panels, ventilation slots for heat dissipation, cable entry provisions, and internal mounting supports for electrical components. Special attention was given to ensuring that the enclosure allows easy maintenance access while maintaining strength and stability.
