Have you been slaving over your first chapter only to wonder if what you're trying to do is working? I can be the editor and second pair of eyes your first chapter needs.
I have a degree in English, and I also minored in editing and creative writing where I studied not only the nitty-gritty details of language but also what makes a good story and how to write compelling characters among other things. I have been beta reading for three years and developmentally editing for over a year. I worked as an acquisitions editor for a science fiction and fantasy magazine, and I've written two of my own novels.
