Summary

For each assignment, I always think about the story we need to tell. I'll define the overall narrative, look holistically to where this communication will live and consider the content – what already exists and what needs to be created. Then I get to writing that stellar copy you're looking for. Bold, simple and clever.

Process

  1. Discovery – We'll have an initial session to understand the project and the channel(s) I'll be writing for, what design and content currently exists and what's fair game to concept new. I'll also review any existing materials that could help inform or serve as a starting point for the work.
  2. Narrative – I'll outline a structure and flow for the narrative, aligned to design and content.
  3. Initial writing – Exploring, drafting, writing. I'll provide full copy, and depending on the design process you'll likely see at least 2 different directions for key headlines to gauge overall voice, tone and style.
  4. Copy refinements – 2-3 rounds of refinements as I make sure to account for all stakeholder feedback and necessary copy placements.
  5. Finalization – You'll receive a final copy doc or designs with final copy reflected throughout. I'll be sure to note potential next steps for future creative exploration or product development.

    Copywriting for any channel, any content. A clear narrative structure will be outlined in addition to the written copy. Deliverable at the end of the project is final copy either in designs or a doc, depending on whether I'm working hand-in-hand with a designer or writing solo.
