Process

ONBOARDING: The client onboarding process is started where the designer and client have a discovery meeting to discuss project scope and other project details (via google meet). After the client and designer chat, a short questionnaire is completed by the client to help the designer in the sketching and research process. PHASE 1: Requirements, Sitemap, Mood Board Based on information given by the client in the questionnaire, the designer begins establishing requirements for the site and a site map. One mood board is crafted for the client. At the end of this phase, the requirements, sitemap, and mood board is presented to the client and the client provides the designer with proper feedback to begin phase two.

PHASE 2: R1 Wireframes & Feedback The designer begins working on wireframes based on the sitemap and At the end of this phase, R1 wireframe designs are presented to the client and the client provides the designer with proper feedback to begin phase three. PHASE 3: R2 Wireframes & Feedback The designer continues working on the wireframe design direction and fully explores various pages. At the end of this phase, R2 wireframe designs are presented to the client and the client provides the designer with proper feedback to begin phase four.

PHASE 4: R1 Website Building & Revisions The designer begins building the site in the website builder. At the end of this phase, the final round of designs are presented to the client and the client provides the designer with proper feedback to begin phase five. PHASE 5: R2 Website Building & Revisions The designer continues building the site in the website builder. At the end of this phase, the final round of designs are presented to the client and the client provides the designer with proper feedback to begin phase six. PHASE 6: R3 Website Building & Revisions The designer continues building the site in the website builder. At the end of this phase, the final round of designs are presented to the client and the client provides the designer with proper feedback to begin phase seven.

PHASE 7: Website Launch & Troubleshooting The designer and client agree to launch the site. Once the final payment is given to the designer, the site is launched. The designer thoroughly analyzes the site performance and does any necessary maintenance. Two hours of “after launch” maintenance are included in the project. OFFBOARDING: Once the designer receives the final payment for the project, the designer launches the website.

FAQs

Am I (the client) responsible for securing a plan for the site builder?
Yes, the client is responsible for paying the monthly payment plan for their site builder, while the designer is working on the site. If the client has to get a higher priced plan enabled for the client to build the site, the difference in price of the two plans will be subtracted from the final payments for however long the designer builds the site.
What if my site needs more than 2 hours of maintenance after it launches?
The designer can do additional maintenance to the site at the hourly rate of $50/hr. Specific fixes during maintenance will be approved by the client before work is started.
Am I (the client) responsible for securing a domain for my site?
Yes, the client is responsible for purchasing a domain for their website. Linking the purchased domain to the website is included in this service.
Am I (the client) responsible for copy (headline, body, caption) for this project?
Yes, the Client is responsible for the final copy and has to provide the final copy before the website launches. The designer will generate placeholder copy to use during this project, while the Client is procuring final copy. Any copy that the client already has or is generating is welcome during any point of the design process.
How do I know what size my site is, so I know how that will impact the price?

What's included

Responsive Website
Client will receive a complete website design, including responsive designs for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Mockups
Client will receive 2 animated mockups and 2 still image mockups of their finished site. The type of deliverable mockups used, will be discussed with the client, before the mockups are started.
Final Design Files
Client will receive any assets and design files in required formats that are needed for future adjustments to the site. For instance, an editable favicon file.
Site Maintenance
Client will receive 2 hours of “after launch” maintenance and design adjustments. The hours do not need to be consecutive and never expire.
