Summary

Discovery Phase: Focuses on understanding users, their needs, and the product's context through user research, competitive analysis, and contextual inquiry.
Design Phase: Utilizes insights from the discovery phase to create and refine design solutions, involving ideation, prototyping, usability testing, and visual design.
Validation Phase: Assesses the effectiveness of the design solutions via A/B testing, analytics, metrics, and user feedback for further iteration.

Process

· For Early stages where you want to know your user before any major decision, my recommended process would be: --> Based on your ideal user, try to find some participants (5-7) and Interview them --> Depending on the results launch some Surveys to your existing Data Base or hire some targeted participants --> Finally, get 1-2 User Personas and its Journeys. · For Design validation my ideal path would be to: --> Hire 5-7 targeted participants and perform some Usability tests --> Get real users insights to iterate your existing design

    As the research can be done at many stages, I recommend you to be at one of these 3 phases: · Early-stage process, willing to know your user. · Early Design validation, interaction design stage (wireframes). · High Fidelity prototype validation, just before development.
