About this service

Summary

The purpose of the cover letter is to invite the reader to the resume. The cover letter may be a requirement stated in the job description or within the online application. The company may also require specific information in a cover letter such as, salary requirements. If this is the case, the cover letter is longer in form and may entail some research. You want to be certain you strike a balance between what type of salary you want and what range of salary has been allocated for that position. We can do that research together. And, you can be sure that the topic will come up in the interview, so be prepared.
If the cover letter is not a requirement and you decide to send a cover letter, you're probably sending it as a compliment to your resume. In that case there are paragraphs in the cover letter that make specific statements...by-the-way, none of which is repeating your resume content. It should suggest to the hiring manager that you're aware of their needs and how you can meet those needs. The cover letter is relatively brief and to the point or it may not get read.
References that are on a written document are used mostly in specific types of agencies, uploaded separately from the application itself. And, they can also be a part of an online application. References are specific information and when we work together I will ask you questions that help you decide from where you will choose the people who will speak for you, possibly your work ethic, and personal character. It's not hard to decide on references, but it is important and I can help you understand the dynamics that go into reference choices before I write about them for you.
Note: This service may require a Zoom meeting only because the cover letter should be very specific to the resume of which you are sending. I will need from you a copy of your resume and the job description. We will talk about the position and what the company's need is to be able to iterate the presidential paragraph of the letter that invites him/her to read the resume to learn more.
