What if an AI assistant could do more than answer questions, and actually help shape a software solution?
I'm building BENNY, an AI technical consultant and lead-intake prototype for my studio, Ruben Arevalo AI & Software Studio.
In this example, BENNY takes a business requirement and turns it into a structured technical recommendation: frontend, backend/API architecture, AI services, database design, and the reasoning behind each choice.
The goal isn't to replace a software engineer's judgment. BENNY is designed to help clients explore ideas, clarify requirements, and understand what a potential system could involve, while still keeping important decisions like final scope, pricing, timelines, and project acceptance under human control.
BENNY is currently in alpha, and I am actively testing, breaking, and improving it as I build toward a more capable agentic system.
I'm especially interested in building AI that helps businesses move work forward, not just generate another chat response.

J.A.L.E. - Statement of Work and Milestone Automation
I built this Statement of Work (SOW) workflow inside J.A.L.E. to turn project scoping and payment planning into a structured business process. Users can assign customers, define project terms, set total value and currency, configure milestone percentages, and tie payment releases to project status.
The system validates that milestones total 100% and is designed to reduce manual contract setup while keeping approval and payment logic clear. Prototype is shown with demonstration data.

J.A.L.E. - Internal Operations & Workflow Automation Platform
I designed and built J.A.L.E. (Job Automation & Logistics Engine), an internal operations platform that brings business workflows into one system.
This dashboard gives users quick access to customers, SOWs, invoices, payroll, timesheets, employee records, content analytic, and time tracking, which reduces the need to jump between disconnected tools.
J.A.L.E. is an evolving prototype built around real operational workflows, with automation and AI capabilities being added as the platform grows.
