ESA Copilot – AI Assistant for Environmental Reports

At Langan Engineering, I led the development of ESA Copilot, an internal AI system that accelerates Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs). The tool analyzes decades of environmental documents, including scanned PDFs, maps, regulatory records, and auto-generates report sections with audit-ready accuracy.
I built a custom RAG pipeline integrating LLMs, vector search, full-text search, and image-based document parsing. I also built the internal UI for prompt testing, report preview, and in-line editing.

GEM – Guest Experience Manager

I architected and developed the backend and frontend for GEM, a platform used by Endeavor/IMG staff to manage large-scale events and guest operations. The platform aggregated data from multiple industry systems and presented a unified, real-time interface for operations teams.
I implemented a robust GraphQL API layer that normalized and merged data from disparate platforms, and developed modular React/Next.js frontends for various business domains, ensuring a smooth and intuitive UX.

As a core backend engineer for a flagship digital learning app, I contributed to a modern monorepo microservices architecture and engineered several GraphQL services that fed into a unified federated API serving millions of learners.
I also led engineering on the Search Engine, a hybrid semantic + keyword search engine powering the app’s explore interface. Using LLM-generated embeddings, Pinecone vector search, and Meilisearch indexing, I delivered a fast, intelligent search system that improved content discoverability and relevance.

I designed and implemented backend services powering Instacart’s 3PI platform, enabling deep integrations with major retailer loyalty & incentive systems such as GiveX and BRData. This work directly improved how Instacart personalizes experiences for millions of customers.
I also implemented automated SMS + webhook flows for key lifecycle events in food delivery—reducing operational friction and boosting customer satisfaction through real-time, reliable notifications.
On the frontend side, I contributed React-based updates to retailer-facing and internal portals, collaborating closely with product, design, and mobile teams to ship new customer-visible features
