VER-DÉ was a Top 100 selected project in the Build with Gemini XPRIZE. Since submitting, I've kept testing. Early distribution tests brought 56K+ video views and 600+ landing-page visits through paid campaigns. What that showed me: getting a film in front of people is only half the problem. The harder half is helping them find the right one once they arrive. So I'm building the next version of VER-DÉ around that. From distribution to discovery. The films are already here. Now I'm building a better way to find them. Ralph Anthony Sales

A solitary celadon vessel slowly releases black ink-like smoke, suggesting loss and decay. As the smoke begins to move with intention, it unexpectedly returns to the vessel, revealing that what appeared to be escaping was, in fact, returning home. Created in Renoise using SD2 image-to-video generation from an original reference image. #RenoiseChallenge

For #ConfigMakeathon, I built CUTLIST — an operational layer for independent filmmakers managing festival submissions. I built it because I'm the one who needs it. I make AI films and submit them to festivals. Portals handle discovery. Calendars handle deadlines. But the part that actually decides whether a film gets in lives nowhere: disclosure requirements, subtitle status, export formats, shifting AI policies, premiere restrictions — and whether a film is even eligible. I was holding all of it together across spreadsheets, emails, and a dozen festival portals. Here's the kind of thing that slips through the cracks: a film accepted at one festival can lose its premiere eligibility at another. A calendar will never catch that. CUTLIST does. It doesn't replace FilmFreeway or your calendar — it's the layer on top of them, tracking the one thing they don't: readiness. Policy status (Confirmed Eligible · Disclosure Required · Hybrid Allowed · Manual Review), export and subtitle readiness, package completion, submission history, and the next action before a film is actually ready to send. I designed it to show what isn't ready — pending assets, open policy questions, missing subtitles — because a perfectly green board is a mockup, not a tool you actually run. Built entirely in Figma Make: the dashboard, the operational workflow, and an interactive festival detail drawer. I built the workflow I needed but couldn't find. What if CapCut existed in 1982? Not an app. An institution. Reimagined as an analog film-processing lab — where stories are physically developed before they’re cut. The timeline becomes a contact sheet. Export becomes “Make your print.” The safelight is on. Cut before the cut. — CCDS / GRTV Creative Deck PDF: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TC-InbFYqET9TKOyCQ_p5K0B-msabfb8/view?usp=drive_link #CapCutDesignStudio #CapCutChallenge
