Bloom & Blush Studio — From Inquiry to Confirmed Appointment I designed and built Bloom & Blush Studio, a fictional boutique salon in Austin, Texas, to solve a very real small-business problem: Too much time spent managing appointments instead of serving customers. For a solo business owner like Maya, every “Are you available Saturday?” message creates more work — checking the calendar, replying with available times, waiting for confirmation, sending reminders, handling cancellations, and rescheduling appointments. I wanted to redesign that entire experience. The result is a beautiful, mobile-first booking experience that takes customers from: “Can I book with you?” → “You're booked!” without the usual back-and-forth. ✨ What I built • Simple service discovery with transparent pricing and duration • Real-time-style appointment availability • Fast, mobile-first booking flow • Instant booking confirmation • Automated 24-hour and 2-hour reminders • Self-service cancellation and rescheduling • Smart waitlist for fully booked time slots • Automatic reopening of cancelled appointments • Owner dashboard for appointments, revenue, waitlists, and activity • Automated lead recovery for unfinished bookings The customer experience stays intentionally simple: Choose a service → Pick a date → Select a time → Confirm → You're booked. Behind the scenes, the system is designed to remove the repetitive administrative work that normally consumes a small-business owner's day. The goal wasn't just to create a beautiful salon website.
