It worked, but became hard to maintain and extend.
So I rebuilt it from scratch, this time with a structured AI-assisted system:
- PRD → Architecture → API boundaries → UI slices
- Org-scoped ownership + proper separation of concerns
- Usage limits + monetization (subscriptions + credit packages)
- AssemblyAI integration with configurable features
The result: a fully working, monetized SaaS built with a repeatable process.

Been heads-down building Scribebit, a super-fast and affordable way to turn audio or video into text. I was frustrated with the high costs and limited free tiers of existing tools, so I decided to build my own.
Focused on creating a really smooth and simple UX, from the upload to the final transcript. It’s perfect for podcasters, journalists, researchers, and anyone who's tired of manual transcription.
This project helped me learn a lot about AI integrations and audio optimization.
