Ecowatt Solar Solutions Website Design and Development

Victor Aremu

Ecowatt Solar Solutions Website

Role: UI/UX Designer & No code Web Developer Tools Used: Figma, Framer

My Role

As the sole designer and developer on this project, I was responsible for the complete design and development of the Ecowatt website — a clean, informative platform for a Berlin based solar energy company offering residential, commercial, and off-grid solutions. I created the site structure, wireframes, visual design, and handled full frontend implementation.

The Problem

Ecowatt needed an online presence that would:
Clearly explain their solar offerings to a wide audience (from tech-savvy users to rural home owners).
Build trust with potential customers and partners.
Generate leads through easy contact and consultation booking.
Educate users about the benefits of switching to solar.
Additionally, the founders had no previous brand identity or web content, so I had to build everything from scratch — including copywriting, content architecture, and visual assets.

Challenges Encountered

Lack of Existing Brand Assets: No logo, brand colors, or photography existed initially.
Communicating Technical Info Simply: Translating solar tech concepts into plain, relatable language.
Performance on Low-Speed Networks: Ensuring the site loads quickly, especially for users in areas with slow internet.
Mobile Optimization: Making sure the site was responsive and easy to navigate on mobile, which is the dominant platform for local users.

The Solution

To meet these challenges, I:
Developed a clean and consistent visual identity using natural, eco-friendly colors and icons.
Wrote all marketing copy with clear, concise, benefit-driven language.
Structured the site with scannable sections: What We Offer, Our Approach, Benefits, Testimonials, and a strong Call to Action.
Optimized all images and assets for fast loading and mobile responsiveness.
Integrated a clear contact page with full company details and a lead-generation form.

The Impact

The website now serves as a central hub for Ecowatt’s digital presence, helping them:
Educate users on solar power
Build brand credibility
Capture leads for consultations
Position themselves as a forward-thinking energy company
