Project Overview
Sikura.lk is a Sri Lankan matrimony website that enables users to find a partner for marriage. The website includes all the basic features of a matrimony website, such as a dashboard for viewing statistics, user matching algorithm based on their interests and horoscope details, and chat features. Users can also boost their profiles for greater visibility.
My Role
As the lead designer for Sikura.lk, my role was to plan and design the product from scratch, and work with cross-functional teams to bring the product to life. I worked closely with the development team to ensure that the design was implemented correctly and that the product met the needs of users.
Challenge
The challenge was to create a matrimony website that would meet the needs of users in Sri Lanka. The website needed to be user-friendly and intuitive, with features that would help users find suitable partners for marriage. The website also needed to be responsive, so that it could be accessed from a variety of devices.
The Solution
To address the challenge, I began by planning the product from scratch, including the features that would be most useful to users. I worked with cross-functional teams to ensure that the product was developed in a timely manner and that the design was implemented correctly.
I designed a user-friendly and intuitive interface, with easy-to-use navigation and intuitive features. Users can create a profile, add their interests and horoscope details, and search for suitable partners based on their preferences. The website also includes a dashboard for viewing statistics, user matching algorithm, chat features, and profile boost options.

Conclusion
Designing Sikura.lk from scratch was a challenging yet rewarding experience. Working closely with cross-functional teams, I was able to create a product that meets the needs of users in Sri Lanka and has helped many people find partners for marriage. By focusing on user experience and creating a user-friendly interface, we have developed a matrimony website that has become a trusted resource for the Sri Lankan community.
