As part of my work at Kojo Design, I led the rebrand of the YC-backed startup WalletKit, a developer toolkit for building Web3 apps.

The Brand

When I was first approached by WalletKit, they didn't have a wordmark for their brand, just a simple icon. Their brand color was pink, as they had chosen it due to its unconventional nature. They wanted their brand to stand out.
My goal was to help them achieve it.
We ended up exploring a bunch of different directions – we wanted to preserve the imagery of a wallet, while creating a sense of compactness, modernness, and minimalism.
It was during my latest exploration (bottom right) that I fell upon something clever – using a wallet with a clasp as an "e". While we ultimately decided to not clutter the wordmark by placing the icon in the center of it, we proceeded with the clasp, as it was both minimal and could work well in monochrome.

The Website

Once the brand was determined, I could shift my focus to the website. As their company offered multiple products, it was important the page could easily showcase each in as approachable a way as possible.
The primary intention of the hero was to design it in a way in which the feature being showcased could be rotated out as needed.
