Python Project – Web Scraping NBA Statistics

Project Goal: Gather and organize NBA player and team statistics from the 2004-2005 season to the 2023-2024 season for the purpose of building a machine learning model to predict the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award recipient

Project Outcome: Collected comprehensive NBA statistics, including MVP votes, player performance per game, and team statistics per season. The data has been organized and combined, setting the stage for further cleaning and model development

Project Methods: Scraped web data using Requests, parsed it with Beautiful Soup, and utilized Selenium for advanced tasks like executing JavaScript. Also combined data into pandas DataFrames and wrote them to CSV files.
