Project Overview
The SPDY App is a mobile application designed to empower businesses to accept Bitcoin payments without exposure to cryptocurrency volatility. The core value proposition is simple yet transformative: merchants can receive customer payments in Bitcoin while instantly converting the proceeds into U.S. dollars — all without needing a wallet, deep crypto knowledge, or exchange accounts.
We were responsible for designing and building the full mobile experience for both iOS and Android, creating a secure, intuitive environment where merchants can process crypto payments as easily as traditional card transactions.
The Challenge
As digital currencies have grown in popularity, many businesses express interest in accepting Bitcoin. However, several barriers held them back:
Cryptocurrency volatility makes price settlement risky

Our Solution
We delivered a merchant-centric mobile app that handles the entire Bitcoin acceptance process automatically:
Merchants input the sales amount
A QR code is generated for the customer to scan
The customer pays in Bitcoin
The app instantly converts the received Bitcoin into U.S. dollars
Settled funds are deposited to the merchant’s account
By eliminating volatility risk and the need for wallets or backups, traders and business owners enjoy a user experience similar to accepting a normal digital payment, but with the added benefit of crypto acceptance.
