Noru Photography is a photography business run by a client based in Chicago. The site was already live on Wix, built from an off-the-shelf template that didn't reflect her work or style.

The goal of this project was to give her a site that matched her brand and made it easy for potential clients to understand her work and get in touch.

I redesigned the site and rebuilt it in Wix, restructuring navigation, gallery, and content from the ground up.

I started by discussing what message she wanted to communicate through her photography. I researched other photographers in her space and how they positioned their work, which helped her define both her audience and her message.

Her ideal client is a woman who runs her own business or offers a service and consistently needs strong visuals of herself for her website, social media, and campaigns. From there, we shaped her core message: photography that helps clients feel their most authentic, confident self, with portraits and candid images that support their brand online.

I started in Figma, building wireframes to align on direction before touching the live site. The visual direction followed directly from her message: elegant, timeless, feminine, soft. Every design decision, from layout to imagery, was built to support that feeling.

Also, she was previously using a booking widget that didn't suit how she actually works with clients. I replaced it with a contact form and made it easily accessible from every page, so getting in touch is never more than a click away.

She preferred to stay on Wix, since that's where the site was originally built. Wix comes with real limitations, layout flexibility, spacing consistency, and custom functionality are all more restricted than a platform like Framer.

I also built a CMS for services as well as organised portfolio, so information stays consistent across the site instead of being edited in multiple places.
