A UK town council site the clerk runs (bilingual, Framer)

A UK town council (Llandeilo Town Council) needed a council website its clerk could keep up to date without a developer.

The site is bilingual (English and Welsh), has to be accessible, and the council publishes a lot: news, meeting agendas and minutes, policies, newsletters and vacancies.

Moved the meetings and documents archive (58 files that lived only in an Airtable setup) into the site's own CMS.

Cut the homepage hero video from 39 MB to about 5 MB, using the same footage.

Checked with an automated WCAG 2.2 AA scan (axe-core) on seven pages in two languages, at phone and desktop widths: no violations reported. An automated scan does not replace a manual accessibility review.

Google Search Console, 10 Jul to 8 Oct 2026: 17,947 impressions and 255 clicks. Compared with the same dates in 2025 that is 0 for both, but last year's 0 is because the council's domain only started pointing at the new site on 8 May 2026. So this is a new-site number, not an improvement on an old one.

The search "llandeilo town council" averages position 4.1 and gave 73 clicks at a 74% click-through rate. The page for "llandeilo" has 10,324 impressions at position 11, which is the next job.
