A private client based in California, working in the cannabis and CBD product space, needed a custom-designed glass smoking tip. The piece had to feel premium and distinctive, standing out in a market full of generic accessories. The goal was a bespoke design that could move from concept to 3D printing and eventually glass production.

Industrial Designer & Digital Illustrator. Responsible for initial concept sketching, client-directed concept selection, 3D development, and production-ready CAD modeling.

Tools used: Procreate (iPad Pro), Shapr3D

1. Concept exploration — Started with a series of hand-drawn concept sketches in Procreate, exploring different form languages, proportions, and grip profiles. The goal was to give the client a range of directions to react to.

2. Client selection — Presented multiple concepts to the client. They selected the direction that best matched their brand vision and product line.

3. 3D development & CAD — Took the selected concept into Shapr3D, building a detailed 3D model with precise dimensions suitable for 3D printing and glass manufacturing. Refined surface transitions, wall thicknesses, and functional geometry for real-world production.

The final CAD model was delivered production-ready for 3D printing and glass manufacturing. This project is a good example of the concept-to-CAD pipeline I offer: quick sketch exploration, client-guided selection, then precise 3D development for manufacturing.
