Overview 🔎
Booka centralizes all bookings for entertainment & event services by allowing these suppliers to market themselves in one platform. Customers can then search, sort and filter in this centralized platform to find the most relevant supplier and book instantly.
Problem & Solution 🤝
Live Performers and Event Service Providers market themselves through different channels. Not all suppliers exist on each channel and they are difficult to search for This leads to a poor customer experience/ choice & less exposure to their target audience suppliers.
Due to Covid19 live events were on pause for more than 2 years. So many live-performing artists went out of business and audiences lost their trust level.
Booka will centralize all bookings for entertainment & event services by allowing these suppliers to market themselves on one platform. Customers can then search, sort, and filter in this centralized platform to find the most relevant supplier and book instantly.

Discovery
Semi-Structured User Interviews – Potential Users:
to gain further insight into users’, and recommendation purchasing habits, and gauge their trust levels and pain points when getting a recommendation or booking a service provider.

To understand how business partners currently try to build trust with their customers, market through word-of-mouth, and calculate their total addressable market

Competitor Analysis:
to inform an initial feature set, evaluate the recommendation functions of competitors and how successful they are, and how booka can make those features more user-centered.
Clickable prototypes:
To enable end user testing before sending the app to developers.

Several design iterations of the user’s recommendation process to find and land on a flow that was easy to build and fun to use

Takeaways 📣
We realized during our surveys that many performing communities are led by not-so-tech-savvy people. That’s why the performing community is very behind in the tech space with apps.
On the other hand, the main target service-providing audience (GenZ and Millennials) are very enthusiastic about Booka and they were confident that it will help their business.
