“Redo the LokalBond website” was my top to-do for months, and I never touched it. I guess the challenge was the sign I was waiting for.

LokalBond is a community of home-hosted experiences across Türkiye, started by my friend with his mom’s cooking class. In Türkiye a guest is never a stranger. LokalBond hosts have welcomed more than 3,500 guests, each with a nazar boncuğu. 🧿

I made my mockups in Figma, drew the table and the nazar boncuğu by hand, and built easy-to-use site that works on mobile too. It took about 30 hours with Base44. I described what I wanted in Discuss mode, approved the plan, and the rest was chatting.

When a guest reserves, the host gets an email, and when the host approves, the guest gets a ticket. New host and creative ambassador forms notify our team. Approved experiences are imported to the dashboard and become available to future guests.

Now I need to convince my friend to publish it as our website. I built it for the challenge, but I’m not done working on it. Try yourself, and let me know what you think! https://lokalbond.base44.app PS: If you like, you know what you should put as an emoji.
