As Editor-in-Chief of Cosmopolitan Sri Lanka, I led the editorial direction and production of the magazine, developing issue concepts, commissioning and editing stories, writing features and working with the wider creative team to bring each issue together.

My role extended beyond individual stories to shaping the editorial identity of each issue, from deciding what we should be talking about and who we should be talking to, to developing story angles, commissioning contributors and overseeing the final editorial package.

Developed and led a special edition celebrating 35 women under 35, creating the editorial concept, four-part framework and wider print, photography and video package.

Editorial leadership extended beyond the page. I worked with writers, photographers, designers and contributors to take stories from initial idea through to publication, developing briefs, commissioning and editing copy, and overseeing production.
