Soul & Skin's original hero relied almost entirely on photography. While visually appealing, it didn't clearly communicate the brand's value, guide visitors toward action, or build immediate trust.
The goal was to redesign the hero into an experience that balances premium aesthetics with stronger UX principles.
The Challenge
The original hero had several usability issues:
No clear value proposition
Product imagery overshadowed the message
Weak visual hierarchy
Limited guidance on what users should do next
Missed opportunity to build trust above the fold
My Approach
Rather than redesigning for aesthetics alone, I focused on improving decision-making.
The redesign introduces:
A benefit-driven headline that speaks to the customer's desired outcome
Clear primary and secondary calls-to-action
Improved information hierarchy
A premium visual language using soft glassmorphism and subtle depth
Supporting content that encourages further exploration without distracting from the primary goal
The Before and After Showcase
Before - Original hero section
After - Redesigned hero section
Design Decisions
Clearer Messaging
The new headline shifts attention from the product itself to the transformation customers are looking for.
Better Visual Hierarchy
Content now follows a natural reading flow — from imagery to headline, supporting copy, and action.
Stronger Calls to Action
Instead of leaving users to decide where to go, the redesign introduces clear next steps.
Premium Feel
Rounded components, subtle transparency, generous spacing, and restrained typography reinforce a modern luxury skincare experience.

Outcome
This is a conceptual redesign. The objective was to demonstrate how thoughtful UX can strengthen a brand's first impression by:
Communicating value faster
Increasing clarity
Guiding user attention
Creating a more premium browsing experience
