FB Horticulture is a web design project for a horticulture farm business that provides horticultural services and sells garden flowers, chemicals, and gardening tools.

My Roles: Web Designer, and UX/UI Designer.

FB Horticulture is a business specializing in the sale of gardening produce and tools, along with offering horticultural services to assist customers in effectively managing their gardens.

The primary objective of this web design project is to create a user-friendly layout for their upcoming website. The website will enable customers to conveniently purchase garden produce from the comfort of their homes and easily hire horticultural services by making requests through the website

The approach to achieving this layout primarily focuses on utilizing an e-commerce framework to facilitate the catalogue display of garden produce, ensuring a seamless user experience. Additionally, an agricultural styling approach is implemented to harmonize the aesthetics of the layout with the business’s horticultural focus.

Furthermore, a portfolio-style presentation is adopted to showcase the various horticultural services offered. This includes detailing service procedures, employing a step-by-step approach, incorporating customer testimonials for each service, and strategically placing service request call-to-action buttons throughout the website.

This multifaceted approach aims to create an engaging and informative online platform that not only facilitates product purchases but also effectively communicates the value proposition of FB Horticulture’s horticultural services.

The challenges encountered during this design process revolved around seamlessly integrating agricultural produce while ensuring an optimal user experience that caters to a diverse range of customers. These customers may have varying needs, such as purchasing flowers for their homes, and offices, or hiring experts for ornamental design in their compounds.

To address these challenges, extensive research and consideration were conducted. The solution was derived by employing a strategic approach, including using low-intensity shades of agricultural colours for backgrounds. Additionally, fonts such as Playfair Display for headings and Poppins for body text were chosen alongside illustrations icons to achieve a modern and pleasant layout that resonates with a wide range of customers.

Overall, overcoming these challenges required a careful balance between incorporating agricultural elements and prioritizing user experience to create a visually appealing and accessible website layout for FB Horticulture’s diverse customer base.

With the project approach carefully implemented and adjustments made in response to the challenges faced, the solution delivered for this project achieved a harmonious blend of agricultural elements with modern web design principles.

The website effectively showcases garden produce and presents services in a visually appealing manner, striking a balance between the agricultural theme and contemporary layout. Overall, the solution provided a well-rounded representation of FB Horticulture’s offerings, enhancing its online presence and user engagement.
