About

Quattrocento — Brand & E-Commerce Experience
Quattrocento is a contemporary ceramic art studio blending craftsmanship, tradition, and modern aesthetics. The goal was to create an online experience that reflects the tactile beauty of handmade ceramics while supporting e-commerce and workshop bookings.
I designed and developed the full digital identity and website in Webflow, ensuring the experience felt calm, editorial, and material-driven — much like the work itself.

The Challenge

While Quattrocento offers refined handmade work, its online presence didn’t communicate the same level of artistry and attention to detail. The brand needed a platform that could:
Showcase products with high visual impact
Communicate the brand’s philosophy and creative ethos
Support workshop bookings and future e-commerce expansion
Deliver a premium, immersive, and minimalist browsing experience
The challenge was balancing functionality with emotional storytelling — building a site that feels as handcrafted as the ceramics it presents.

Research & Direction

To define a clear direction, I explored:
Luxury e-commerce experiences
High-end craft studios
Italian Renaissance and handmade design heritage
Material-driven layouts and photographic storytelling
The emerging theme was restraint: letting form, texture, and negative space speak.

Building the brand

This phase focused on exploring a luxury-driven visual identity. I experimented with monogram variations, letterforms, and proportions to find a mark that felt artisanal yet contemporary. The goal was to design a symbol that could communicate elegance, craft, and timelessness—without relying on trends.

This phase focused on exploring different visual directions for the hero experience. I tested variations in layout, photography using Blender, color tones, UI hierarchy, and atmospheric lighting to define the right emotional tone. Through iteration, the final direction emerged: calm, spacious, material-driven, and editorial — allowing the ceramics to feel like curated art pieces.

Webflow Build & Interactions

The site was fully built in Webflow, allowing full control over layout, interactions, and responsiveness.
Key features include:
Scroll-based movement and soft fade animations
CMS collections for future product scalability
Responsive layouts optimized for mobile and tablet
Seamless workshop/class structure for future bookings
High-resolution imagery optimized for performance
Interactions are subtle by design — intended to feel like the gentle pace of a gallery space.
