Sprintart WordPress Platform for Artists

Overview Sprintart is a creative initiative dedicated to empowering African artists through mentorship, exhibitions, and collaboration. The platform was envisioned as a digital home for artists to connect with mentors, showcase their work, and explore opportunities for creative growth.

I was brought on to design and develop a modern, scalable WordPress platform that captures the essence of Spinart’s mission, connectedness with self, others, and the environment, while providing a smooth experience for artists, mentors, and art enthusiasts alike.

Goals • Create a clean, artistic, and visually expressive platform. • Build an intuitive CMS for easy content updates and program management. • Reflect Spinart’s values of community, creativity, and collaboration. • Support program listings like the Artist Incubator and Showcase sections. • Ensure SEO readiness and long-term scalability.

My Role • Design & UX: I designed a minimal yet expressive interface inspired by gallery spaces, balancing white space with vibrant visuals to make artwork stand out. Each page was structured to feel immersive while maintaining clarity and flow. • Development: Using WordPress and Elementor, I built a modular structure that allows the Sprintart team to easily create, edit, and manage artist profiles, exhibitions, and news updates. Custom post types and ACF were implemented for full flexibility. • Performance & Responsiveness: I optimized for fast load times, ensuring fluid performance across mobile, tablet, and desktop. Lazy loading and asset compression were applied for a seamless browsing experience. • SEO & Accessibility: Implemented structured metadata, alt text standards, and semantic HTML to improve discoverability and accessibility.
