The Brief

HQC Paints needed a complete Amazon visual overhaul: listing images that stop the scroll and Enhanced Brand Content (A+ / EBC) modules that tell the brand story below the fold. The goal was to position HQC as a premium, trustworthy paint brand in a category where most competitors rely on generic product shots and spec sheets.

The Challenge

Paint is a tough category on Amazon. Buyers can't touch, smell, or test the product before purchasing. Every buying decision hinges on the listing visuals and the information architecture below the fold. The images had to do the heavy lifting: communicate color accuracy, coverage quality, ease of application, and brand credibility in a few seconds of scrolling.

Listing Image Strategy

Each listing image was designed with a specific job in the buyer's decision journey:
Hero image: Clean, high-impact product shot optimized for search result thumbnails
Feature callouts: Infographic-style images highlighting key product benefits (coverage, finish, durability)
Lifestyle context: Room scenes showing the paint in real environments so buyers can visualize the end result
Comparison graphics: Side-by-side visuals that position HQC against generic alternatives
Trust builders: Certifications, eco-credentials, and application instructions

Enhanced Brand Content (A+ / EBC)

The A+ Content modules were designed to extend the brand narrative below the main listing. Each module serves a purpose:
Brand story header: Establishes HQC's identity and values immediately
Product range showcase: Cross-sells across the paint line with visual consistency
Application guide: Step-by-step visuals that reduce buyer hesitation
Comparison charts: Feature matrices that make the buying decision easier
Lifestyle gallery: Aspirational room imagery that connects product to outcome

Design Decisions

Color accuracy: Every product mockup was color-matched to real paint swatches to ensure what buyers see on screen reflects the actual product
Consistent visual language: A unified design system across all listing images and EBC modules so the brand feels cohesive from search result to checkout
Mobile-first layout: All A+ modules designed at mobile viewport widths first, since the majority of Amazon traffic is mobile
Information hierarchy: Key selling points placed in the first 2 listing images where attention is highest
