Star Atlas is an upcoming AAA open-world MMORPG set in the year 2620, powered by Unreal Engine 5 and Solana blockchain. Players join one of three factions—MUD (humans), ONI (aliens), or Ustur (androids)—to compete for economic, political, and territorial dominance in a massive galactic universe.

The game uniquely integrates blockchain technology to give players true ownership of in-game assets such as ships, land, and resources. With features like land ownership, manufacturing, professions (mining, pirating, bounty-hunting, etc.), political governance via a DAO, and an evolving galactic marketplace, Star Atlas blends immersive gameplay with decentralized economics.

As a core contributor, my responsibilities spanned frontend development, blockchain integration, and infrastructure management:

Designed and built user-facing pages to highlight Star Atlas gameplay, lore, and updates.

Implemented interactive features for community engagement and onboarding.

Managed Google Cloud CDN to deliver a high-performance and globally distributed experience for Star Atlas players.

Optimized caching and asset delivery for both web-based and Unreal Engine 5 modules.

Implemented wallet integration (supporting Phantom, Coinbase, Solflare, etc.) for seamless player onboarding.

Developed and integrated the NFT marketplace, enabling players to buy, sell, and trade ships, land, and resources on the Solana blockchain.

Contributed to the governance system by integrating the DAO (POLIS tokens) into the platform, allowing players to stake and vote on proposals that shape the game’s direction.

My work directly contributed to making blockchain adoption seamless for players while ensuring the Star Atlas experience remained accessible and scalable:

Improved Performance: By managing Google Cloud CDN, global latency was reduced, ensuring faster load times and smoother gameplay for web and Unreal modules.

Seamless Onboarding: Wallet integration simplified user entry, allowing new players to interact with blockchain-based assets without friction.

True Asset Ownership: The NFT marketplace and DAO integration gave players meaningful economic and political influence within the Star Atlas universe.

Community Engagement: The robust infrastructure supported thousands of players joining pre-alpha modules like Showroom and SAGE, building excitement and momentum for the full release.

Through this work, I demonstrated my ability to bridge Website Development, AAA game development, blockchain technology, and scalable infrastructure, contributing to one of the most ambitious Web3 gaming projects in development.
