Recognition
Are you tired of trying so hard to have your brand recognised?
Feeling fed up making content and websites and all kinds of marketing and advertising material, with LITTLE TO NO interaction or conversion?
Stick around for a moment.
I have something, just for you.
Logos
Logos … they're the face of a brand.
A brand is a company, organisation or idea with a deliberately crafted identity.
Logos encapsulate your identity into a single, memorable symbol that carries and projects all the emotions we feel towards a brand.
We all interact with familiar faces and logos on a daily basis without realising it, and they guide our decisions and actions.
Every great brand, needs a greater logo.
Without your logo, it's difficult to be recognised or to build a brand identity that will make it easy for customers to find, return to, support, and be associated with … your brand.
3D Logos
Fine … logos are important, but why bother to create a 3D logo? Isn't it more complex?
See, that's the thing …
2-dimensional logos are incredible, but with 3D Logos, you can manipulate YOUR logo to become ANYTHING you can imagine, in ANY visual environment you desire.
With 3D logos, you can add:
AWESOME animations,
DETAILED textures,
AWE-STRIKING lighting,
& SO much more to your visual identity.
Usefulness
"Okay … great", you think to yourself.
"Let's say I have a 3D Logo. What do I do with it then?"
Well,
do you have a social media profile picture?
do you have branded design assets?
do you have content you'd like to post?
do you have an advert or campaign you're planning to run?
do you have a website?
do you have a brochure?
do you have posters?
These are all places you can use brand-consistent 3D stills (renders) and animations to WOW your customers out of casual browsing and onto your shopping checkout page.
Just imagine it.
The 3D Logo Design Series
Given the incredible benefits of 3D Logo designs/redesigns, I spent a dedicated a few months to redesigning existing logos of different brands I like, into exquisite 3D renders & animations.
Here are just a few of them:
3D Logo Showcase #01: The KaveriK
Yes … I had to redesign my own logo. Couldn't pass the chance.
Take note of the digital vibe with the cracked floor and back wall with light seeping through.
3D Logo 01 -- The KaveriK
The animation is even better, with the camera giving you multiple angles and the logo body itself turning from solid particles into transparent emptiness, and back.
I'm still to find a better burger place than this one … but I'm not particularly looking.
Hans im Glück is a brand that is closely themed with nature and sustainability.
I thought to myself … how much would the feeling change if the logo represented the opposite of nature?
...
3D Logo Showcase #03: Lovisa
Lovisa is known worldwide for the accessibility that it provides in fashion through their array of jewellery available at different price points.
I imagined what it would look like if it was a gigantic sign, synonymous to the famous "HOLLYWOOD" sign.
…
3D Logo Showcase #04: Biggie Burger
When I visited this burger restaurant in my city with a close friend, they gave us value for our money. From the moment I left the restaurant, I wondered, "how could I make the logo more realistic, without changing too much?"
The answer was … TEXTURES.
In these two renders, I allowed myself to experiment with slightly wilder texturing and lighting techniques than before.
The second one has the logo floating in a vaccuum, surrounded by millions of tiny volumetric particles, with the BRIGHTEST possible light slamming it head on.
…
3D Logo Showcase #05: Constructor University
The university underwent a rebrand in 2023, so I took it waaay further with the scifi theme.
The animation showcases the logo rotating while moving down a colour-shifting channel of mountains rising and falling in a soothing 'scifi-sea'.
I'll admit … I'm a bit of a scifi geek. After I watched the 2nd season of Loki, I felt inspired to do this one. That letter "O" truly challenged my 3D modelling capabilities.
…
3D Logo Showcase #07: Ahsoka
As a fan of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars", having a standalone series for Ahsoka — one of my favourite characters from the aforementioned childhood show — was "a spectacle" to celebrate with a few simple renders.
…
3D Logo Showcase #08: Valorant
Throughout most of my high school years, gaming was a distant memory from childhood, reserved only for 'other people'; then a friend invited me to this fascinating creature of a video game.
» Valorant v1: Symbolmark (Plain)
Attempt 1 was quite … early in my learning process.
» Valorant v2: Agent ISO
Don't let the apparent simplicity of attempt 2 fool you.
Manually texturing typography like that without wrapping any image onto the model was a pleasant and welcome nightmare … but a nightmare, nonetheless. I learnt much about gradient texturing over several days.
» Valorant v3: Agent Phoenix
With attempt 3 however … I was really getting somewhere.
I had learnt a lot more about texturing, lighting and scene composition, and it showed in the render and animation I whipped up in JUST A FEW HOURS.
By the time I got to attempt 4, I was just clacking at the mouse and keyboard on autopilot.
The progress and growth I observed in my work was gloriously satisfying.
I learnt an immense load about visual design while going down this 3D Logo rabbit hole, and it's made me a more nuanced designer in the way I look at different forms of visual communication, both from before and after this experiment.
What if …
What if you had a marketing asset as modernized, versatile and fresh as one of these?
How would people feel about your brand then?
Reach out and let's explore that possibility together.
