Problem:
The client, a telecommunications company, lacked a standardized approach to project management, resulting in inefficiencies, delays, inconsistent project outcomes, and missed strategic objectives. They needed to assess and improve their project management maturity to better align with industry standards and enhance overall performance.
Action:
I led the setup of Program Management Office and OPM3 (Organizational Project Management Maturity Model based on PMI model), conducting a comprehensive assessment of current project management practices and identifying areas for improvement. Developed an implementation plan to enhance project maturity, established key performance indicators, and delivered training to ensure alignment with OPM3 standards.
Result:
Improved project management maturity led to more consistent project delivery, better alignment with strategic goals, and increased operational efficiency. The client saw enhanced project success rates, a reduction in delays and budget overruns.
