I was approached by Plus Curiosity and creative director Caro Sanekata on a high-profile VFX and visualisation project for one of Japan's leading real estate developers.

Plus Curiosity needed to create key visuals for the West Gate Tower presentation brochure and video that required the West Gate Tower to be composited into the Shinjuku Area of Tokyo.

The main building needed to be converted into a workable Blender asset from Rhino, with all of the sizes matching the real world result. The chosen shots were then tracked and using a combination of importing Google Earth data and light matching I was able to nestle the West Gater Tower into Shinjuku.

I developed my own solutions for matching light data on a given time and date of footage, with close examination of graded shots. This involved studying compression artifacts, chromatic abberation and similar detail to then reproduce in Resolve.
