The team at Hatom / Soul Protocol approached me to create key visuals for their innovative multi-chain DeFi protocol, the "soul" of tokens that exist on the blockchain. To honour that, I thought of creating a blockchain powered church that synthesises all blockchain in one all encompassing protocol.

The soul transcends time; that's why I used a still render of the Soul Egg and recreated it in various time periods. The idea of the Egg standing still while the world changes was a treat to explore.

The presentation video and key visuals garnered 1 million + views and extremely positive reactions on twitter, further helping to position Soul Protocol as a visually-forward, credible DeFi project in an oversaturated launch ecosystem.

The Blockchain cathedral drew inspiration from parametric design, a practice in architectural 3D that creates almost alien-like structures. The organic like shapes clash wonderfully with the tech heavy detail in the foreground.

Using Substance Designer, I created a flush, electornic heavy look of the Egg with the intent to further push the contrast between organic and digital.

The protocols are fed through tubes into the Egg, making it the heart and soul of the Blockchain cathedral.
