Kodi the Roofer – AI-Generated Satirical Rooftop Inspection

For this project, I collaborated with a client to create a comedic, character-driven rooftop inspection video series using Google Veo 3, an advanced AI video generation tool. The concept centered on Kodi — a larger-than-life, safety-vest-wearing Kodiak brown bear — delivering genuine roofing maintenance tips in a humorous, over-the-top style. The goal was to produce something that was visually engaging, entertaining, and social media–ready, while keeping the pacing and personality sharp enough to hook viewers instantly.

I handled the entire creative process, including:

Prompt writing and scene direction for Google Veo to maintain consistent character design, rooftop environments, and safety details across all scenes.

Visual storytelling and comedic timing to balance humor with practical roofing insights.

Post-enhancements and final edits to refine pacing, color, and flow for a clean, professional finish.

Scene-by-scene scripting to ensure each segment had a distinct setup, payoff, and satirical edge.

The result is a 7-scene vertical video designed for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts — equal parts educational satire and AI-powered creativity. This project highlights my ability to blend humor, brand messaging, and advanced AI tools into content that stands out in any feed.
