The Challenge

Ellume Global is an emerging IPP (Independent Power Producer) and established EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) company specializing in clean energy solutions for commercial and industrial clients. Their core expertise spans on-site solar projects, both rooftop and ground-mounted installations, along with remote monitoring, advanced analytics, and asset management through their "Ellume 360" platform.
Their mission is bold: accelerate the world's transition to affordable, clean energy by delivering intelligent solar solutions that empower commercial and industrial businesses to take control of their power. But as the company scaled from EPC roots into a full IPP with multiple product verticals (Ellume360, Solar360, Wind360, Battery360), the brand needed to catch up. They needed a complete identity system and strategy that could unify a growing product suite, hold its own across both digital and physical touchpoints, and communicate the seriousness of a company building real energy infrastructure.

The Wordmark

We built Ellume's identity from the ground up, starting with a wordmark that does the heavy lifting. The lowercase "ellume" flows from electric blue into emerald green, a gradient that fuses technology with energy. The open terminal on the final "e" was a deliberate signature, a small detail that suggests a brand that stays open, curious, and always in motion. We paired it with Host Grotesk, a clean geometric sans that reads as confident and modern across every touchpoint, from business cards to billboard-scale signage.

Color System

The color system was built around five core tones: Midnight and Deep Space anchor the brand in something serious and grounded, Solar Blue and Ellume Green carry the energy and optimism of the product itself, and Slate rounds it out with quiet neutrality. Every shade earned its place by tying back to the brand's core idea: this is a company building real infrastructure, not just software.

Brand Pillars & Messaging

To guide tone and messaging, we defined four brand pillars: Grounded, Intelligent, Empowering, and Inevitable. These weren't just words on a slide. They shaped everything from the copy direction to how confidently the visual system could push into bold, oversized typography on out-of-home placements like bus stop banners and city signage.

Brand Collateral & System Extension

From there we extended the system across a full suite of brand collateral: business cards, packaging, lanyards, pens, flags, stationery, and a complete brand guidelines deck covering logo usage, sub-brand architecture (Ellume360, Solar360, Wind360, Battery360), typography, and color application. The result is a brand that feels equally at home in a boardroom pitch deck and on a construction site banner, built to scale with Ellume as they grow from an emerging IPP into the infrastructure backbone for renewable energy operations.

The Result

Ellume adopted the full brand system across all four product verticals and both their India and US operations. The identity now runs end-to-end: from the Ellume360 monitoring platform UI to investor decks, field signage at solar installations, and the company's public-facing website. The sub-brand architecture we built (Solar360, Wind360, Battery360) gave each product line its own presence while keeping everything visually locked to the parent brand. For a company scaling from 100 MW awarded capacity toward a 5 GW portfolio, the system was designed to hold up as the organization grows, not just look good at launch.
