7 Secrets of Internet Marketing and Runaway Mouse You Knew Nothing About
In fact, there is very little else we can say about runaway mouse and internet marketing because you have maybe heard all about it already. When it comes to business on the internet, you are most likely aware of all there is to know, so why bother reading this? But don’t click away yet, there is something you still need to discover about doing business in this jungle.
Doing business on the internet is like wading through a dense tropical jungle, and what’s more, if you are not in that jungle then you are nowhere! The number one problem is that the kind of people you deal with here (and this means pretty much everybody) have very limited attention span. What does this mean? They suffer from a disease called runaway mouse and consequently are likely to click to your competitor at the slightest provocation. Indeed, doing business on the internet is slippery and fluid because the terrain is slippery and subject to incessant new technological innovations that hit the scene every now and then.
It is quite unpredictable and what you assumed worked effectively yesterday becomes ancient today! You have heard all about social media marketing (SMM), search engine optimization (SEO), content marketing, Strategic Partnership Marketing and so on. All this is familiar until it comes to practical application, right? And probably this is where you are stuck with your business.
Although many businesses are now all too familiar with internet marketing, the truth is that many more find this to be an unfamiliar and treacherous territory. Here are a few handy tips to help you acclimatize to the environment.
Having a website is a means to an end not the end in itself. You have to do everything to make your website visible to search engines otherwise no one will know that you exist. Try searching for your own business online. What have you found out? If you didn’t see it, it means your customers don’t see it either.
A sure recipe for failure is to try and jump into all aspects of internet marketing at once. Ever tried enjoying a swim with your clothes and shoes on? Your best bet is to choose where to start and work incrementally and experimentally upwards. In this way, you will know what can work for your business.
The market place is crowded, even in your niche. The competition is cut-throat, and you need to make changes and adjustments on the fly day and night. Unlike traditional methods (you know them because you have been using them all along so expect me not to mention any here) you have the capability to track and change your marketing messages, graphics, and sales methods instantaneously.
Apart from providing real time tracking results, it is also cost effective. You will not only save money but stretch you marketing budget way down the road.
Don’t assume your customers will come to you simply because they know where your offices or business premises are located. Even if you are situated just across the street, or in the adjacent block, they will still be happy to find you on the internet. You need online presence. That is where your clients prefer to search for you.
But as I mentioned earlier, that is not enough. Your presence online ought to be authentic, credible and professional. It takes a lot more to build your brand name, credibility and trust. This is nothing like you are used to in the realms of traditional marketing. Spare me your expertise and read on.
Let’s just say this for now – consumers don’t go online because they are not aware of the products and services you are selling, but simply to get more information. You might have all the details in your head, but how to attractively present this to consumers, and have them glued and interested always requires an expert. For starters, let’s not beat about the bush. Talk to me and find out more!
