Project: Omada Entra SCIM Integration 

Objective:  Integrate 26 applications with Omada Entra using SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management) to streamline identity management, increase IAM security, simplify user onboarding and offboarding, and comply with IAM regulations and information protection. 

Project Scope: 

Integration of 26 Applications: The project involved integrating 26 diverse applications with Omada Entra using SCIM to enhance identity management. This included 12 applications integrated directly with Entra ID, 8 applications integrated via SCIM API, and 6 applications requiring the Aquera Connector. 

Approval Structure: Each application was configured with a robust approval structure involving multiple approvers to ensure business continuity and compliance. 

User Impact: The integration impacted 1500 users, aiming to streamline their access management processes and improve overall user experience. 

IAM Project Alignment: This integration was a critical part of a broader Identity and Access Management (IAM) project aimed at increasing access compliance and security across the organization. The project focused on enhancing security protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and improving the efficiency of access management. 

Documentation and SOPs: Comprehensive documentation was created for each application’s integration process, including detailed integration documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and Visio diagrams to visualize workflows and integration points. 

Change Management: A change management plan was developed and executed to ensure smooth adoption of the new system and minimize disruption for the users. This included training sessions, user guides, and support mechanisms to assist users during the transition. 

Risk Management: Potential risks were identified, and mitigation strategies were implemented to ensure the project’s success. This included regular risk assessments and contingency planning. 

Resource Management: Resources were allocated and managed effectively to meet project deadlines and ensure the successful completion of the integration.

Visio Diagrams: Visual representations of workflows and integration points for each application. 

Standard Operating Procedures: Comprehensive SOPs for managing and maintaining integrations.
