Project Description
1. Client Goal for the Project
The client wanted to build a professional, trustworthy, and easy-to-use online store to sell hoverboards, hoverkarts, e-scooters, and related accessories across the UK.
Their objectives included:
Presenting a wide product catalog (multiple categories such as hoverboards, hoverkarts, accessories, e-scooters) in a clean and navigable way.
Providing detailed product pages with specifications (e.g. wheel size, motor power, warranty/ safety compliance info).
Enabling a secure and smooth e-commerce flow: shopping cart, checkout/payment options, order processing, and customer contact/support.
Projecting brand credibility via professional design, intuitive UX, and compliance / safety indications to build trust with customers.
2. Contributions to the Project
As the developer/designer, We:
Set up the site on WordPress with WooCommerce to handle product catalog, variations, and checkout/ payment flows.
Created and organized product categories and navigation (hoverboards, hoverkarts, e-scooters, accessories, bundles, clearance, etc.) to ensure easy browsing and improved UX.
Designed responsive layout and user interface to ensure smooth performance on both desktop and mobile devices (mobile-optimized store).
Implemented product pages with detailed product information, images, and compliance/ warranty data to build user trust.
Integrated payment gateway and checkout process, and ensured secure transaction setup.
Built contact/support pages (contact info visible, customer support flow) and ensured clear store branding (logo, banners, deals, trust badges) to reflect reliability and professionalism.
3. Overview of the Project’s Success
The store became the UK’s leading hoverboard–retailer site (as proclaimed on homepage).
The organized categories and user-friendly navigation helped customers easily find products and checkout, improving user experience and likely contributing to higher conversion rates.
The detailed product specs, safety/ compliance information and trust-oriented design increased credibility - helping establish client brand reputation.
The WooCommerce-based setup ensures the site is scalable, easy to manage, and ready for future expansion (adding more products / categories / offers).
