Custom 3D Brand Robot – Interactive Shopify Hero Animation

This project involved designing and animating a bespoke 3D robot in Spline 3D for a Shopify store homepage. The brief was clear — create a memorable, brand-themed character that connects with visitors through subtle, playful interactions while maintaining top-tier web performance.

I designed the robot entirely from scratch, integrating the client’s brand logo directly into its design for instant recognition. The animation featured cursor-tracking eyes and was strategically planned for future movement-based interactions to deepen engagement.

Special attention was given to performance optimization and mobile-first responsiveness, ensuring the robot’s presence didn’t slow loading times. Positioned as a fixed hero animation at the top of the site, the character acts as a permanent brand ambassador, boosting recall and enhancing the store’s personality.
