Ticket Printer OS: From Web Submissions to Physical Tickets
Ticket Printer OS turns a web submission into something you can hold. I built and open-sourced a system that automatically prints submitted tickets on ESC/POS thermal printers connected to a Raspberry Pi.
Users submit tickets through a simple web interface. A Flask-based API on the Raspberry Pi processes the submission and prints formatted output with a timestamp.
The system supports printers connected over USB, Serial, Network, and Bluetooth. Optional Convex database logging records submissions, while built-in reCAPTCHA helps protect the public interface from spam.
Deliverables include the web interface, Raspberry Pi API, printer integration, and an open-source repository so other builders can recreate the system.
