Avega Agahozo – Nonprofit Website Redesign Project

Overview

Redesigned the official website for Avega Agahozo, a Rwanda-based nonprofit supporting widows of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. The goal was to create a modern, user-friendly, and impactful platform that honors their mission, facilitates donations, and shares stories of resilience.

Problem

The existing website was outdated, with an old design, was difficult to navigate, and lacked the functionality nonprofits need to engage donors and share their impact. Avega Agahozo needed a professional online presence that reflected their legacy and made it easier for supporters to connect with their work.

Solution

Developed a modern, accessible, and multilingual fully custom WordPress site.
Streamlined donation functionality to improve fundraising.
Organized content to highlight programs, services, impact stories, and resources.
Built a responsive design for easy access on mobile and desktop.
Optimized for speed, usability, and SEO to increase visibility.
